Human fever medication, strictly prohibited for cats!

This is something that cat lovers should definitely be aware of ‼️

Because I believe that in every household, there must be pain relievers readily available. In reality, there are various types of pain relievers or fever reducers for both adults and children that people often think can be given to their cats.

Whether it's Paracetamol, Aspirin, or Ibuprofen, all three of these medications are strictly prohibited for cats.

‼️ Strictly Prohibited for Cats ‼️

❌ Paracetamol – Cats metabolize and excrete drugs differently than humans, leading to toxic accumulation. Paracetamol can be highly toxic to cats, affecting the liver, causing red blood cell breakdown, and depriving the body of oxygen, potentially leading to death. If a cat ingests it, symptoms may appear rapidly within 1-4 hours, including lethargy, difficulty breathing, nausea, vomiting, facial and paw swelling. Urgent veterinary attention is crucial.

**** Importantly, it's not about prohibiting the use of Paracetamol but using alternatives like Tylenol, Decolgen, or Saralgin.****

❌ Aspirin – Highly toxic to cats, it can cause severe gastrointestinal upset, loss of appetite, vomiting, bloody diarrhea, low heart rate, kidney failure, and eventual death.

❌ Ibuprofen – Also highly toxic, it can cause severe gastrointestinal irritation similar to Aspirin, and in some cases, it can lead to death.

It's crucial to keep these medications away from cats, and if you suspect ingestion, seek immediate veterinary care.

In each year, a significant number of cats end up in emergency rooms because their owners unknowingly administer Paracetamol. Unfortunately, nearly half of these cats do not survive!

Therefore, if your cat at home is sick, not feeling well, or showing abnormal symptoms, it is crucial to take them to the vet as soon as possible. Let the veterinarian diagnose and prescribe the appropriate medication for your cat, as missing the mark could mean the life of your pet.

Let's share and spread the word to friends who may not be aware!
